Journalist Abed Khan tests positive for Covid-19

Veteran journalist Abed Khan has been diagnosed with Covid-19, alongside all the members of his household - including family and domestic help, reports UNB.

Abed Khan himself confirmed the information, saying they are receiving treatment staying at home for the moment.  

Currently the editor and publisher of Daily Jagoron, in his long and eventful career Abed Khan worked in important posts at a number of leading media outlets, including Kaler Kantho, Samakal, Jugantor, Bhorer Kagoj.

On Saturday, Bangladesh health authorities confirmed 3,240 new coronavirus cases from across the country in their daily update, taking the total number to 108,775.

Keeping similar pace, the death toll from the virus rose to 1,425 as another 37 infected people lost their lives during the period.
