Earlier, authorities from Bangladesh and Dhubri district (Assam state), India, stopped all kinds of export and import activities through the port to prevent the spread of the virus on March 25.

Now businessmen of both the countries have agreed to resume the trade activities through port from Saturday following health guidelines.

Sarkar Rakib Ahmed Jewel, president of the Customs Clearing and Forwarding Agent Association (C&F) of Sonahat Land Port said they resumed the trade activities following all health guidelines for betterment of the businessmen.
