Nurses, doctor among 6 more contract corona in Laxmipur

Six more people including three nurses and a village doctor have tested positive for coronavirus in Laxmipur in last 24 hours.

Civil surgeon Dr Abdul Gaffar confirmed the matter on Sunday morning.

Among the new contracted persons, three are the nurse of Millennium Hospital Pvt. Ltd. in the district town, a village doctor in Sadar upazila and two others in Ramgati upazila including a hotel worker.

However, five people have, so far, recovered from the virus during this period.

As many as 59 people contracted coronavirus in the district.

The hospital and the houses of the infected persons were put under lockdown, said the civil surgeon.
