World Marketing Summit in city on March 28

The World Marketing Summit (WMS) will be held at Westin hotel in Dhaka         on March 28 to hold innovative discussion and search out dynamic ideas on how Bangladesh will be able to accelerate growth, increase exports and diversify  markets.
On this occasion the founder of Modern Marketing, Professor Philip Kotler will be visiting Dhaka with his team.  
World Marketing Summit, a new platform increasingly impacting global trade and development was founded in 2011 by Prof. Philip Kotler. It is an independent  organization with its head headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
Its aim is to "Creating a Better World through Marketing" by promoting productivity, marketing and exports for alleviating poverty. The organization works to improve the state of the world by engaging global leaders and entrepreneurs to create a poverty-free world.
It facilitate discussion and holds seminars on the most pressing issues faced by    the world, including marketing issues, business and economics, impacting poverty, health and the environment. WMS's marketing and business initiatives include World Marketing Summits and Award Programs in different cities, an annual marketing journal and online marketing courses and programmes.
Lead organizer of the Dhaka WMS programme Prof. Dr. Abu Yousuf  Md. Abdullah, Chairman, Northern University Bangladesh Trust made the disclosure on February 5 at Westin hotel in the city saying industry experts and global leaders will tackle the role of the new concepts of Marketing, which include, Neuro marketing, Socialpreneurship and Destructive Marketing.
Prominent discussants in the summit will include Prof. Philip Kotler, Prof.           Dr. Marc Oliver Opresnik of Business Economics of Luebeck University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Professor Luiz Moutinho, world-renowned expert on Artificial Intelligence for Marketing and Dr. Sadia Kibria, CEO, Kotler Impact Inc.
On this occasion, the Kotler Awards will be introduced for the first time in Bangladesh. Professor Philip Kotler will award it to most outstanding Bangladeshi business leaders from this global platform.
If an individual or organization has made significant contribution in the fields of marketing and management they can apply for the Kotler Awards. It will confer 28 awards under four categories: Lifetime Achievement, Master-class Achievers, Iconic Achiever and Industrial Achievers. The last date for submission of nominations is February 25.
Foreign Minister, Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, Economic Affairs Adviser to Prime Minister Dr. Mashiur Rahman, Finance Minister, A H M Mustafa Kamal,  Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Adviser to Prime Minister on Private sector Development Salman Fazlur Rahman are expected to attend the program.
Brand managers, academics, marketers and anyone interested in marketing may register to attend the event. Kotler Impact Inc and Northern University are jointly holding the event in the city.
