Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society coach Kamal Ahmed Babu believed that none of the twelve teams of Jaj Bhuiyan Bangladesh Premier League 2015-16 like he said at a pre-tournament briefing at the BFF House in Motijheel on Sunday.
"We took enough preparation for the event and hope to do well too. I think none of the participants can say that they will be the champion and I don't think any of the teams are favourite in the tournament."
"Considering other teams performance in last two tournaments, I am not finding any difference between the big and small teams. Moreover, my boys and I am confident that we would give a champion race. Nothing is certain in this situation."
Rahmatganj skipper and defender Shawkat Russel also echoed their coach's speech. He said, "Looking at the last few years' statistics, I don't see any difference between the traditional big and small teams. Rather I believe any team that will play well are likely to get a chance to be the champion."
Rahmatganj coach Kamal Babu brought an important issue before the media. He accused that the line men and referees had less coordination between them on the ground and that thing creates lots of problems in different matches earlier.
The coach also blamed that most of the times, review decisions were given in favour of the big teams while the small teams have less chance to get justice in a review.
On the other hand, Uttar Baridhara coach Rashed Jaman said that they formed a good team and were expecting to be at the sixth or seventh place on the point table.
Responding to a question, their manager Abdullah said that the team condition was bad in the earlier years and that way they could not do well then. But he was optimistic to score a better result with a good team now. Apparently they were planning to escape the relegation anyway.
