Sigma Huda, daughters get ad-interim bail

Barrister Sigma Huda and her two daughters have secured ad interim bail for four-weeks in two graft cases.

The High Court bench of Justice Obaidul Hasan and Justice AKM Jahirul Haque granted the bail on Monday.

Senior lawyer Mansurul Haque Chowdhury was present during the bail hearing.

On January 9, Mohammad Shafiullah, assistant director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), filed two cases against the trio on charge of money laundering.

The cases were filed against Sigma Huda, wife of former minister Nazmul Huda, and her daughters for laundering over Tk 6 crore.
