Man killed as truck hits motorcycle

A motorcyclist was killed as a truck hit his vehicle in Dhunat upazila of Bogura on Tuesday morning.

Deceased Zahangir Alam, 35, was the son of Abu Bakkar, a resident of Baniagati village in Gopalnagar union under the upazila.

He was a construction worker.

Witnesses said a brick-laden truck coming from opposite direction hit Zahangir’s motorcycle in Baniagati area around 8:30am, laving him dead on the spot.

Police, however, seized the truck but its driver managed to flee the scene.

Dhunat Police Station officer in-charge Ismail Hossain said the body was handed over to family after autopsy.
