Matsyajibi League picks new leaders

Bangladeshi Awami Matsyajibi League has elected new leadership with Saidur Rahman and Asgar Naskar as president and general secretary of the party.

Saiful Alam Manik has been named as executive president of the ruling Awami League's affiliate organisation.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced 11-member committee of Matsyajibi League at the party's first triennial council session in city on Friday.

Abul Bashar, Abdul Gafur, Muhammad Alam, Nur-e-Alam Ruh and Nasrin bagged the post of vice president.

Abdul Alim, Tipu Sultan and Rafiqul Islam Rafique were made joint general secretary of the party.
