
The film 'Amra Ekta Cinema Banabo', produced by Impress Telefilm Ltd, is going to be screened at three festivals to be held in Colombia, France and Croatia. National Award winning filmmaker Ashraf Shishir has directed the film.
'Amra Ekta Cinema Banabo' will be screened at the 36th 'Bogota International Film Festival', to be held from October 16 to October 22 in Colombia; 'Les Rimbaud du Cinema', to be held on October 19 in France and 'International Sound & Film Music Festival (ISFMF)', to be held from October 19 to October 21 in Croatia. Earlier, the film received its censor certificate on May 19 and was premiered at Canada's 'Regina International Film Festival' on August 16 of this year.
'Amra Ekta Cinema Banabo' is a black and white Bengali feature film with a running time of over 21 hours. The film depicts how anti -liberation activists have reached to the peak of the political and social position during post liberation period in Bangladesh. Small dreams of people of a locality, their struggles and aspirations are also appeared in the film. The film starred four thousand actors including Raisul Islam Asad, Sumana Soma, Shadhin Khasru, Masum Aziz, Pran Rai, Ayesha Mukti, Teresa Chaiti, Elina Shammi, Aranya Rana, Dukhu Sumon and more. The film was shot in Ishwardi and adjacent villages surrounding the Padma River and the Hardinge Bridge.
Ashraf Shishir's debut film 'Gaariwala' won twenty five international awards along with a National Film Award. Another notable work of him is the film 'Gopon- The inner sound'.
