DU introduces child day care centre

The Social Science faculty of Dhaka University (DU) introduced a new child day care centre to look after the child of the Faculty members in order to help them to carry out their dual role.
DU Pro-VC (Academic) Dr Nasreen Ahmed inaugurated the centre on Sunday morning. This center, made under the supervision of the dean of Social Science Faculty Dr Sadeka Halim, is situated at the 6th floor of DU Social Science Faculty building.
The day care centre aims to providing comfortable, safe and secure environment to the children of the Faculties. The day care center will provide service from 9:30am to 5:00pm and the services will available for five days a week (Sunday to Thursday). Three experienced care giver have assigned to take care the children.
Dean of Social Science faculty Dr Sadeka Halim said, "We have 300 teachers in this faculty. For their children a day care centre was badly needed. We introduced it from that sense."
