GAFARGAON, Aug 3: Due to lack of an approach road to Paltipara Government Primary School in Gafargaon Upazila of the district, the attendance of students has decreased gradually.
Head teacher of the school Saidur Rahman said, in 1973, two persons- Moslem Uddin and Jahurul Alam, donated 52 decimals of land for the school. Currently, there are five teachers and 106 students at the school.  Among them, 18 students are of pre-primary class.
Students from Paltipara and Kandapara villages study at this school.  Students do not want to go to the school just for the lack of the road. But if a connecting road from Tetulia to Maizbari is built, the students' attendance will increase.
In this connection, Acting Upazila Primary Education Officer Salma Akhter said, "I will raise the matter in the next monthly meeting of Upazila Parishad and Education Committee."
