Awami League leader Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim’s son-in-law Mashiul Haque Chowdhury, who recieved critical injuries in Sunday's Sri Lanka bomb attacks, has been kept at an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Colombo hospital.
Mashiul Chowdhury has been undergone surgeries on his legs and abdomen, said Sheikh Selim.
The AL politician informed this while visiting the place of janaza for his grandson Zayan Chowdhury, who died in the bombings.
"There are some splinters still inside Mashiul Chowdhury's kidney and liver. He is being kept under observation for 72 hours," he added.
He also sought doa for departed soul of his grandson.
Sheikh Selim's younger brother Sheikh Fazlur Rahman Maruf said the body of Zayan will arrive at about 1pm on Wednesday.
The funeral prayers for Zayan will be held at Banani Chairman bari ground after Asr prayers and then be buried at Banani Graveyard.
Earlier on Monday, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud told a private TV channel that a flight, carrying the body, woul d arrive on Tuesday.
Zayan, elder son of Sheikh Selim’s daughter Sheikh Amena Sultana Sonia, died in an explosion in a Colombo hotel while having breakfast with his father Mashiul Haque Chowdhury.
