Filmmaker Hasibul Islam Mizan no more

Filmmaker Hasibul Islam Mizan is no more. The director behind films like 'Amar Swapna Tumi' passed away on Thursday evening at his Banasree residence in the capital. He was laid to rest yesterday at Mohammadpur graveyard beside the grave of his wife.
Hasibul Islam Mizan gained prominence in 2005 through his film 'Amar Swapna Tumi.' The film starring Shakib Khan, Shabnur and Ferdous garnered appreciations, as a result of which the status of Shakib Khan started to rise in the film industry. Hasibul had himself written the story and screenplay of the film. Another film by him-'Tumi Achho Hridoye' released two years later also succeeded at the box office. The film cast Kayes Arjoo and Ayesha Mukti. He went on to make other films including -Kapal, Janma etc. Films like 'Fulbanu,' 'Pagal Premik', 'Mone Mone Prem' are still under production.
