Selina Hossain, Abul Momen get SEU Lit Award

Southeast University (SEU) organised the "Literature Award Giving Ceremony 2018" on March 9 at the National Art Gallery Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at Segunbagicha Road in the city. Eminent Novelist Selina Hossain and Distinguished Essayist Abul Momen have received the Southeast University Literature Award for 2018. Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, Founder and Chairman of Bishwa Sahitya Kendra and Professor Emeritus Dr Serajul Islam Choudhury have been awarded with lifetime achievement awards at the event. Later a cultural session was organised where artistes of Southeast University Cultural Club performed.
Professor Dr ANM Meshquat Uddin, Vice Chancellor of Southeast University chaired the ceremony while MA Manan, lawmaker and Planning Minister graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. KM Khalid, State Minister for Cultural Affairs was present as the Special Guest and Md. Rezaul Karim, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Southeast University was present as the Guest of Honour. Eminent Educationist National Professor Dr Anisuzzaman, Former Director General of Bangla Academy and Bangabandhu Professor Shamsuzzaman Khan, and present Director General of Bangla Academy and poet Habibullah Shirajee were also present.
Ekushey Award Recipient Poet Mohammad Nurul Huda, nationally renowned literateurs alongside Members of Board of Trustees, Registrar, Director IQAC, Department Chairs, Directors and faculty members of Southeast University attended the programme.
