Railway extension likely in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, Feb 24:  A view-sharing meeting on extension of railway, organised by district administration, was held at the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office in the town on Saturday.
Abu Ali Md Sazzad Hossain, DC, chaired the meeting while Md. Mofazzal Hossain, secretary to the Ministry of Railway, attended the meeting as chief guest.
Executive engineers, district-level officials, journalists and public representatives were present at the meeting.  
The chief guest said that rail line would be extended up to Pirojpur from Jungipara "Gobra" Junction.  A bridge would be constructed over the River Shanda at Nesarabad in the district. They'll start soon a feasibility study for establishing a special economic zone.
