The player selection process of the Sheikh Kamal U-20 Football Championship (proposed) organised by Bangladesh District and Divisional Football Association (BDDFA) came to an end with the selection of Barisal Division on Tuesday at the Barguna Stadium.
The player selection process for the tourney kicked off in November last with the Chattogram Division and moved across all the other seven divisions gradually. Now the selected players of all the eight divisions will undergo a month long training camp before the tournament which starts in the middle of April.
Tarafder Md. Ruhul Amin, the secretary general of BDDFA initiated the ceremony and presented the 'Yes Cards' to the 30 selected players who came under the scrutiny process from the six districts of Barisal Division. "We want to see the future stars of football from the tournament, we are very happy to complete the selection process and we firmly believe that the players will be able to contribute in the development of Bangladesh football" said Tarafder Md. Ruhul Amin.
BDDFA vice-president Sirajuddin Md. Alamgir, BDDFA ex-co member Ashikur Rahman Miku, Abdullah Al Fuad Redwan, Borguna DFA President Alamgir Hossain were also present in the occasion.
The selected players will represent Barisal Division in the Sheikh Kamal U-20 Football Championship when it kicks off.
The selected players are- Rakib Hawlader, Mehedi Hasan, Akash Fakir, Moshiur Rahman, Nayan Hawlader, md. Riaz, Apu Biswas, Imam Hossain, Md. Uzzal, Ahsan Habib, Masud Rana, Mujahid Islam, Al Amn, Shahidul Islam, Jakir Hossain, Md. Sajib, Md. Tarek, Md. Mithun, Sirajul Islam, Fardin Talukder, Ola chin, Ruhul amin, Shahin, Proshenjit, Imran Hawlader, Shohag Sheikh, Ponir Talukder, Md Moniruzzaman.
