Two remanded over plot to kill filmmaker Khijir  Hayat Khan

Two members of banned militant outfit Ansar Al-Islam were placed on a three-day remand by a Dhaka Court on Tuesday over a suspected plot to kill filmmaker Khijir Hayat Khan.
 Metropolitan Magistrate Md Dider Hossain passed the order after Inspector Quamruzzamam of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit, also the investigation officer (IO) of the case, produced the militants before the court with a prayer for a ten-day remand. The militants are Md Emdadul Islam alias Mehedi Hasan alias Sabuj alias Abu Salman alias Hujaifa, 30 and Abu Bakar alias Fahim Abdullah, 20. Filmmaker and actor Khijir Hayat Khan made a film named 'Mister Bangladesh' where he launched some anti-Militant comments. Later, the militants targeted him to kill.
 On secret information, a team of CTTC unit arrested the two Ansar Al Islam members as they made a plan to kill filmmaker Khijir Hayat Khan.
