IGP Mohammad Javed Patwari urged new police officers to work for the protection of public safety from all greed, lust and nepotism.
The IGP was the chief guest at the closing parade, after the completion of 1 year basic training of 665 sergeants of the 25th apprenticeship at Bangladesh Police Academy in Sarda in Rajshahi on Saturday morning.
Mohammad Javed Patwari said safety of people's lives should be ensured. Crime control and unraveling is one of the main responsibilities of police.
The principle of zero tolerance policy should be pursued on terrorism, and militancy. He also said people have to follow the traffic law for safety of human lives.
Academic education and training are not same. One year basic training is very important in the Bangladesh Police Academy.
Earlier, IGP visited Sarada parade maidan and took the oath. Then he gave the medals to the best achievers in different subjects.
Principal of Bangladesh Police Academy Mohammed Nazibur Rahman NDC, Vice Principal Abdullah Al Mahmud BPM, Additional DIG Basudev Bonik and Higher Officials of Bangladesh Police were present on the occasion.
