Mother of ex-secy NI Khan passes away

JASHORE, Oct 29: Mosammat Ayesha Khan, mother of former education secretary Md Nazrul Islam (NI) Khan, died of old-age complications at Jashore 250-bed Hospital on Monday. She was 88, family sources said.
Mosammat Ayesha Khan was survived by five sons, one daughter, a host of relatives and admirers.
She was buried at her family graveyard at Moshimnagar village under Monirampur upazila after a Namaz-e-Janaza on Monday night.
Md Nazrul Islam Khan, popularly known as N I Khan, is now serving as the curator of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum.
He also served as Private Secretary (PS)-1 to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in a condolence message, on Monday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ayesha Khan.
