Female students get stipend in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, Oct 2: At least 10 female students of different schools in Sadar and Indurkani upazilas got stipend on Saturday.
A non-government organisation Pirojpur Gono Unnayan Samity (PGUS) arranged the programme at its conference room.
Executive Director of PGUS Ziaul Ahsan presided over the programme.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Mostafizur Rahman and Head Teacher of Juskhola Secondary School Bipul Mitra were present at the event as special guests. The speakers said the initiative will help rural girls select science group. Science education has drastically fallen down. Without progress of science, no nation can    develop.  Each of the 10 girls who got GPA-5 received the stipend worth Tk 4,600.
