Taposh, Munni get Mother Teresa International Award

Singer-musician Kaushik Hossain Taposh and Gaanbangla TV chairman Farzana Munni received the prestigious Mother Teresa International Award for their 'Wind of Change- Music for Peace' campaign.
Taposh and Munni received the award on August 26 at an award giving ceremony which was held at Satyajit Ray Auditorium in Kolkata. The award giving ceremony which was marked the 108th birth anniversary of internationally acclaimed humanist Mother Teresa.
Mother Teresa International Award Committee has been conferring the award on individuals and organisations working for promoting peace.
Senior minister of West Bengal minister Shri Sadhan Pande handed over the award, in presence of educationist Dr Samuel Raj and Mother Teresa International Award committee chairman Anthony Arun Biswas.
Wind of Change- Music for Peace was a peace promoting campaign by Gaanbangla TV where 55 local and foreign musicians from 23 countries spoke in support of worldwide peace and the role of music in promoting peace. The campaign was part of music show Wind of Change, which was aired on Gaanbangla TV.
