PM presents five buses to Shaheed Ramiz Uddin College

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has presented five buses to Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College. Farid Ahmed Bhuiyan, chairman of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation, handed over  the buses on behalf of the Prime Minister to Major General Ataul Karim Sarwar Hasan, Dhaka log area commander and chief patron of the institution, in front of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) around 9:30am on Saturday, said Rezaul Karim Shammi, assistant director of ISPR.
Diya Khanam Mim and Abdul Karim Rajib, first year students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College, were killed as a bus ploughed through some students in front of Kurmitola General Hospital on the Airport Road in the capital on July 29, Principal Nur Nahar Yasmin of the institution read a statement after the bus handover ceremony. In the statement, the principal said, "The buses have been given to us so that the students can travel safely to and from the institution. As a guardian, teacher and a mother I am asking the students to return to the classrooms and attend to their studies. The government is taking steps to ensure safe roads."
