Editor and publisher of The Financial Express AHM Moazzem Hossain laid to rest at Azimpur graveyard in the city on Thursday afternoon.
First namaz-e-janaza of Moazzem Hossain was held at his residence at Ramna Estate Complex, 124 Boro Maghbazar, while the second janaza at The Financial Express office and the last janaza on the Jatiya Press Club premises, BSS reports.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, PM’s Media Affair Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Abul Kalam Azad, Editor of The Daily Star Mahfuz Anam, Editor of the daily Bhorer Kagoj Shymal Dutta, leaders of Awami League and other political parties, business leaders and journalists attended the janaza at the Press Club.
Hossain, suffering from heart and lung complications, died at a city hospital on Wednesday evening at the age of 72.
He left behind his wife Chand Sultana, son Fahim Hossain, daughter Farhana Hossain, and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.
