HC asks Comilla court to dispose of Khaleda’s bail plea by July 26

The High Court (HC) on Monday directed the lower court concerned in Comilla to dispose of a bail petition of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia by July 26 in an arson case filed under the Special Powers Act in 2015.
An HC bench comprising Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice SM Mozibur Rahman passed the order following a petition filed by Khaleda Zia seeking bail in the case.
Eight people were killed and 20 others injured when miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a bus at Jogmohanpur in Chouddagram of Comilla district during the BNP-led alliance's countrywide blockade on February 3, 2015.
