IU VC condemns death threat to UGC Chairman

Vice Chancellor of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari strongly condemned the death threat to University Grant Commission (UGC) chairman Professor Abdul Mannan, said an IU press release on Wednesday night.
Expressing deep concern Professor Rashid Askari said, "Such type of threat to educationists comes as an attempt to halt the practice of free thinking and progressive thoughts". The VC demanded stern action against the culprits who were involved in the incident.
Besides, IU Pro-VC Professor Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and Treasurer Professor Dr M Selim Toha condemned the threat to Abdul Mannan.
