Once you have been a playback singer. Your last work was Guerrilla. But recently we find your absence in playback singing. Why?
Actually nowadays the style of singing has been changed. You can see some new singing sensations repeatedly coming. I am not saying that they are not doing well. Some of them are really talented. But, I am a senior artist and I cannot sing different genres songs if I wish. I usually sing traditional songs, folk songs, Nazrul Sangeet etc. That is why you may find my absence.
Any plan to launch a new album...
Right now I don't have any plan. But I have a plan to launch an album in future. That would be based on my own music done for theatre.
Your inspiration...
My mother is my biggest inspiration. Actually I am inspired by so many things around me. Selim Al Deen and Altaf Mahmud have always been my biggest inspirations.  I must mention my husband, Nasiruddin Yousuf, who always supported my dreams.
What are the qualities one must have to become successful?
Passion, commitment for work and also hard work. These qualities combine success.
Favourite travel destination...
I have travelled so many places but for me Bangladesh has the world's best sea beach.  I just love Cox's Bazar. I am never tired of it!
Favourite colour...
Depends on my mood. Sometimes I like blue, ash, gray etc. Actually I have so many favourite colors.
Favourite books...
It is also very difficult question. All works of Salim Al Deen. He was a brilliant playwright.
Favourite genres of music...
Classical music, folk music, and Nazrul Sangeet.
Favourite identity...
I have so many identities but if I have to chose, then I will choose 'Singer'.
Most memorable moment of your life...
When I saw my daughter's face for the first time, it was the best feeling of my life. Motherhood is such a blessing.
