Jatiya KabiKazi Nazrul Islam University held an international Seminar on the occasion of 119th birth anniversary of rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam at the university Conference room on May 25.
Prof. Dr. Nazrul Islam ('Badhanhara of Nazrul') and Prof. Dr. Shahabuddin Badal delivered a written dissertation aboutpoet Nazrul.
After ending seminar, 'Nazrul University Award-2018' has been put forth to the 4 researcher of Nazrul. They are -Prof. Jatin Sarker, Abu Hena Abdul Auwal, MA Mannan and Maya Roy.
The students of Fine Arts of the university got award for annual arts exhibitions as well.
In that seminar, Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, Ex-VC of Dhaka University, was as present as chief guests while Prof. Dr. AHM Mustafizur Rahman, vice- chancellor of JKKNIU chaired it.
The special guests were Rashedul Hasan Shelly, Secretary General of International Nazrul Cultural Center, Prof. Dr. Nazrul Islam, Prof. Dr. Subrata Kumer Dey, and Tapon Kumer Sarker, President of Teachers Assoc.
Among Others, Teachers, guests, journalists, officers, students were present.
Earlier in the occasion,Prof. Dr. AHM Mustafizur Rahman, vice- chancellor of the university along with guests, teachers, and officers launched the program amid paid homage to the monument of national poet by placing wreaths.
A discussant program was also held.
Dr. Humayun Kabir, registrar (acting) delivered a greeting speech while Lecturer Nusrat Sharmin, Mazharul Hossain Tokder, Uswatun Mahera Khusi conducted those programs.
