Cultural festival held in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, Mar 31: A day-long cultural festival was held at the Officer's Club conference room in the district town on Thursday noon.
District Children Affairs Office organised the programme with the assistance of International NGO World Vision.
Deputy Director (DD) of Local Government Kazi Tofail Hossain attended the programme as chief guest and Assistant Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Mostafijur Rahman was special guest.
District Children Affairs Officer Md. Mojammel Hossain presided over the programme.  
At least 40 participants from four selective schools took part in the programme. The schools are: Pirojpur Government Girls' High School, Hulerhat High School, World Vision Operated School in Sadar Upazila and UJK High School at Shreeramkathi in Nazirpur Upazila.
Song contest, poem recitation, creative jokes and quiz competition based on science and technology, art contests, instant speech contests and theatre were held at the festival.
Teachers, students from different educational institutions, guardians, and cultural activities were presents at the programme.
