5 more DB men suspended for DBC journalist torture

Five more Detective Branch (DB) police personnel on Monday were suspended on charge of torturing DBC Camera person Sumon Hassan on 13 March.

The accused are DB SI Abul Bashar, ASI Aktaruzzaman, Swapan Chandra Dey, Hassan Mahamud, Kazi Saiful Islam under Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP).

With this order, all of the eight DB Policemen involved in the torture have been suspended.

BMP's AC Nasiruddin (DB) confirmed the suspension news.
