Ahmed Muztaba Zamal to join Berlin Film Festival as juror

Ahmed Muztaba Zamal, festival director of Dhaka International Film Festival, has been selected as critics' jury at the forthcoming Berlinale. He will be joining as a member of     International Federation of Film Critics - FIPRESCI. Eight other members of this apex body of international film critics will accompany him as critical jurors. Founder of Bangladesh's Chapter of FIPRESCI in 1994 Zamal has also taken part in Cannes International Film Festival as a critics jury for three times, the last time in 2009. In Berlin Film Festival he will be joining this year after nearly eighteen years.
The Berlin Film Festival will start from February 15 and run for ten days. Zamal joined the festival as FIPRESCI member for the first time in 1998. In 2000 again he joined as a member of Netpac jury. He has up till now taken part in twenty-five international film festivals as jury member. Presently he is the President of Rainbow Film Society (a leading film society of the country), which operates the annual Dhaka International Film Festival.
