BKSP and Milon made new records

Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP), in men's team event, and archer Milon Mullah, in Compound men's singles event, made new national records while Roksana Akter became the best archer with her three-gold in the ninth edition of National archery championship on Thursday at the Archery Training Centre, Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium, Tongi in Gazipur.
With participations of 142 man and woman archers of 32 clubs, National Archery Championship 2017 began on Wednesday in Tongi. Also around 40 man and woman team officials and 40 man and woman technical officials attended the championship.
On the day, BKSP broke their record of 1824 points that they made in 2014 by scoring 1937 in men's team event. Milon Mullah of Bangladesh Ansar, on the other hand, scored 685 for a new national record in Compound men's singles.
Roksana Akter of Bangladesh Army Archery Club clinched a total of three gold medals in the event to be the best archer.
Before that on Wednesday, archer Ruman Sana, in men's singles of recurve division, also made a new record scoring 654 who had broken his previous national record of 652 score that he made in 2016.
City Group under the banner of 'Teer' had sponsored the two-day event.
President of Bangladesh Archery Federation Lt Gen M Moinul Islam (retd) was the chief guest of the prize giving ceremony on the day. City Group Executive Director (Marketing and Sales)  Shoeb M Asaduzzaman was present there as a special guest along with Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF) Vice-President Anisur Rahman Dipu, Secretary General Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapol and other executive member of the Federation.
