JnU student killed in Thakurgaon road crash

THAKURGAON, Dec 30: A Jagannath University student was killed and his friend injured in a collision between a tractor and their motorcycle on Thakurgaon-Baliadangi road in Baliadangi upazila on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Simon, 21, son of Yusuf Ali and a student of Department of Land Law and Management of the university.
The sugarcane-laden tractor hit the motorbike of Simon in front of RDRS office around 8:30pm when they were returning to Baliadangi from the district town, leaving them critically injured, said Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Baliadangi Police Station.
Later, Simon died on the way to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital. �UNB
