Feni : Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Monday said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would inaugurate the country's first ever six-lane flyover at Mohipal on January 4.
"The flyover will be opened through video conference," the minister told journalists after visiting the construction work of the flyover.
Quader, also the general secretary of Awami League, informed that the 34 engineer construction brigade of Bangladesh Army have already completed the work six months before the scheduled date.
Works on the 660-metre flyover were executed under Road Transport and Bridges Ministry at a cost of Tk 181.48 crore.
Among others, 34 engineer construction brigade director Maj Gen Siddiqur Rahman Sarkar, flyover designer prof Dr M Azadur Rahman, flyover project director brig Gen AKM Rezaul Mazid, Feni deputy commissioner Manoj Kumar Roy and superintendent of Feni police SM Jahangir Alam Sarkar were present.
