BNP candidate boycotts results of Rangpur city polls

BNP contestant Kawsar Zaman Babla boycotted the results of Rangpur City Corporation polls on allegations of rigging vote that was held on Thursday.

Mentioning that his party took the election as test case, the pro-BNP candidate said, "Fair and neutral election is not possible under Awami League government."

Kawsar Zaman Babla announced the boycott decision at a media conference on Thursday night.

The voting was held from 8am to 4pm on without any break at 193 polling stations in the city corporation in a peaceful atmosphere with the good turnout of voters.
