Ghure Darao by Colours FM 101.6

To reduce violence against women and develop social awareness among the mass people, Colours FM 101.6 took some initiatives through their programmes from November 25 - December 10, 2017, and their slogan was "Ghure Darao".
Before starting 16 day-long activities, they launched a social awareness video on social media using a hashtag 'ghure darao'. On that video, they gave a message. The message was to raise peoples' voice against the violence of women. The video is viewed over 8 lac 70 thousand times, and is shared almost 8000 times.
Connecting with Bangladesh Legal Aids and Services Trusts (BLAST), Colours FM on aired the programmes "Rukhe Dao Nari Nirjaton" and "Power Women." In the programme, they invited many of the social activists, who are working on women rights, such as executive director of BLAST, Sarah Hossain, Farah Kabir from Action Aid, Khushi Kabir from Nijera Kori, Shirin Haque from Naripokkho, executive director of Women with Disabilities Development Foundation Ashrafun Nahar Misti, and additional deputy police commissioner Mahmuda Afroz Lucky. They invited to guests discuss on different aspects about violence on women, enforcement of law in this regard, outcome, present situation, statistics, prevention and overall social awareness.
