Dr Mahfuzul Islam appointed VC of CUB

Chancellor of Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) Abdul Hamid appointed Professor Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam as the vice-chancellor of the university on 10 December, 2017 for four years from the date of joining. The appointment was made as per Section 31 (1) of Private University Act, 2010.
Prior to joining as the VC, Dr. Islam has served various national and international organizations as a prominent educationist, administrative leader and researcher. He was the head of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) department and provost of Shahid Smriti Hall at BUET.  
Born in 1973 in Jamalpur district, Dr. Islam completed his Masters (M.Sc. Engg degree) and Bachelor (B.Sc. Engg degree) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from BUET. He was granted PhD in Information Technology (IT) from Monash University, Australia.
