BNGA int'l conference on Nov 24

Bangladesh National Geographical Association (BNGA) is going to organize a daylong international conference titled "15th Bangladesh International Geographical Conference-2017" at Jahangirnagar University (JU) on November 24.
The BNGA in association with JU Geography and Environment department will organize the international conference on 'Water Issues and Sustainable Development' at Zahir Raihan Auditorium on the campus, convener of the event Prof Dr Md Nurul Islam confirmed this.
Moderated by the secretary general of BNGA, Prof Dr M Nazrul Islam, the programme will be attended by the chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC), Prof Abdul Mannan as chief guest while JU vice-chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr. Farzana Islam is expected to attend as special guest.
JU pro-VC (Education) Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Hossain, pro-VC (Administration) Prof. Dr. Amir Hussain and treasurer Prof. Shiekh Md. Mozurul Huq will speak as special guests, among other.
This year 250 specialist geographers and environmentalists from all over the world will attend the conference, Prof Dr. Nurul added.
Esteemed Professor Dr. Ranjan Basu of Calcutta University will be the keynote speaker at the conference.
The program, however, will be featured by registration session, welcome address by BNGA secretary, keynote paper presentation, felicitation of geographers, speech of guests, lunch session, technical sessions, business session, cultural session and Dinner.
About 75 national and international authors (geographers and environmentalists) will brief about their respective research perspectives in 4 technical sessions at Social Science Faculty for the event.
