Ferdous Wahid to get first official recognition tomorrow

Popular singer Ferdous Wahid will be honoured with the annual Citibank NA Honourary Award tomorrow. The event will be held at a five-star hotel in the capital in the evening. Habib Wahid, son of Ferdous and himself a popular singer will sing for his father at the event titled "Gaane Gaane Gunijon Shangbardhana". He has decided to relive the songs that were originally sung by his father. He is expected to sing the song, "Age Jodi Jantam" amongst other songs.
Ferdous has spent forty-two years in the music industry of the country. The award by Citibank NA is probably going to be his first official recognition. Ferdous has expressed his rapture at this first award due to go to him.
Citibank NA started honouring established singers of the country in 2014 by honouring Nilufar Yasmin in the very first edition. Last year the bank honoured Runa Laila with the award.
