Students of Harashpur School in B'baria facing classroom crisis

BRAHMANBARIA, Nov 9: The academic activities at Harashpur Primary School in Bijaynagar under Harashpur Union are being hampered due to the crisis of classroom and bench.
The school was built in 1940 which is providing education to the children of the area. But the school is facing many problems like insufficient bench and classroom. A total of 613 students from class one to class five read in the school. But the bench and furniture are inadequate than the number of the students.
Head Teacher of the school Mohammad Humayun Kabir said it is an old primary school and now the number of the students are 613; but there is only one building for the students; the old building has been demolished few days back.
The education is being hampered seriously due to the crisis of the class room facilities; as a result, the standard of education is falling down, he said adding that the guardians and the students are also worried about the classroom crisis.
"We informed the higher authority about the problem several times," he further said.
