Archery Federation comes forward with vision 'Go for Gold'

Bangladesh Archery Federation (BAF) had come forward with its new vision 'Go for Gold' on Monday with a view to achieve some unattained success in the discipline in different international arenas.
With a view to win a medal in the Olympic Games Tokyo-2020 Bangladesh Archery Federation signed a deal with City Group, the manufacturer of 'Teer' products, at the BOA auditorium on Monday.
As per the deal, Bangladesh Archery Federation will receive an amount of Taka 1.80 crore per annum from the City Group for the development of archery and upgraded training for the archers in home and abroad.  
Executive Director (Marketing Sales) of City Group, Shoyeb M Asaduzzaman and general secretary of Bangladesh Archery Federation Rajib Uddin Chapal signed the agreement on behalf of their sides.
Federation President Lt Gen M Moinul Islam (retd) and Vice-President Anisur Rahrnan were also present in the signing ceremony.
BAF general secretary Rajib Uddin Chapal was explaining the vision to the media on the day where he said that, under the vision, the federation had taken an initiative to prepare the local archers to put a signature of the country in 'Tokyo Olympic 2020'.
He said, "We have so many achievements in different events yet some of our dreams remained only dream. To fulfil those dreams through achieving success in Olympic, talent hunt programme all over the country will be initiated and later the selected archers will be put under skill development programme."
According to the plan, a strong team will be formed with newly found archers and national team players who will be facilitate with international coach.
Besides, a fitness centre will be there to increase players' physical fitness and sound heath.
The Federation is hoping that if it can success the plan, it would be possible to achieve medals in the Olympic event in 2020 and gold medal in Asian Games in the same year.
