Tensions have erupted in the Korean peninsula, with the recent North Korean nuclear and missile testing. This year, North Korea has launched 22 missile experiments and successfully blasted a hydrogen bomb. Following the inter-continent missile test in July this year, the United Nation imposed strong sanctions on the North Korea on the proposal of the United States.
Angered by the UN's decision, North Korea threatened to attack the United States controlled Island 'Guam' in the Pacific Ocean. Later, North Korea stopped the attack in Guam but, the tension between the two countries United States and North Korea has been continuing. Political analysts believe that the way the United States and North Korea blame each other and threaten war can be started any time in this region.
Earlier in 1994, there was a provocative situation cantering on obstructing the entry of international observers at the North Korean nuclear complex. Then, it was resolved diplomatically.
North Korea threatened attacks in the United States, Japan and South Korea over the years. But, in reality North Korea did not always have the courage to attack. But, it is difficult to say what is going to happen now. It's hard to keep faith on US President Donald Trump and North Korean President Kim Jong-un, since both of them are eccentric in nature.
*If the war on the Korean island starts, chaos in the trade sector will be created. South Korea will be most affected as a supply chain; South Korea is of great importance.*

America's antagonism with North Korea is congenital. Japan was in possession of Korea before World War II. When Japan was capitulated in World War II, Korea was divided into two groups. In the support of the then Soviet Union, socialism was established in North Korea.
On the other hand, the democratic government was formed in South Korea with direct support from the United States. South Korea received a lot of help from the United States to increase economic and military power.
The United States provides all-round help to convert South Korea into a powerful state and provides South Korean cooperation and favours for North Korean occupation. Once upon a time the conspiracy has centred this state of the North of the Korean Islands. But, nothing happened. The country is now in a position to ignore America's brazen conspiracies that the United States is obliged to talk to North Korea.
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has recently visited China to prevent North Korea from carrying nuclear weapons and missile programmes. North Korea's biggest ally is China, and North Korea has survived for the economic and military aid of China.
Now, around 90 per cent of the country's trade is with China. The United States needs help of China to put economic pressure on North Korea. But, how much response China will do to the call of the United States is a matter of question.
It is very important for China to maintain the stability of the Korean region. Considering this, China may agree with the United States on some issues. But, China will never want to destroy North Korea. Because of the destruction of North Korea, such a united Korea will be created, resulting in US troops coming to the border of China.
If the war begins in the Korean Peninsula, billions of people will come to China to take shelter. Since, North Korea is a nuclear power State, the United States will not want to fight with North Korea thinking about the future of themselves and their allies.
The economy is also a big reason behind it. If the war on the Korean island starts, chaos in the trade sector will be created. South Korea will be most affected as a supply chain; South Korea is of great importance.
South Korea is a big exporter of intermediate goods. Besides, one-fourth of the global income of SML Holdings NV Company comes from South Korea. If the internal situation is negative, foreign companies will withdraw business from the country. The investment will be reduced which will affect the world trade. So, the ongoing nuclear tension in the Korean peninsula, mutual fighting is not only a threat to East Asia but also a threat to overall global peace, economy and stability.
The consequences of the war will be horrific if it occurs really.
Russia, Japan and China can play a big role in resolving the current crisis. Especially, China can improve the situation rapidly. China has the importance of both the United States and North Korea.
