Shanan celebrates 32nd founding anniversary with elocution

Cultural troupe Shanan celebrated its 32nd founding anniversary on September 19 with a recitation programme at Bangladesh National Museum.
The programme was highlighted with the rendition of thirty poetries by twenty-four poets. Rupa Chakraborty was among the performers as she presented Tagore's lyrical piece "Suoranir Sadh."
The programme was held at 6.30pm at the Kabi Sufia Kamal Auditorium of National Museum. Jayanta Chattyapadhyay, Ashraful Alam and Bhaswar Bandyopadhyay also rendered special segments to the programme. Writer Selina Hossain was present as special guest.
Mahua Mukhopadhyay, Professor at Rabindrabrahati University and Rabindra Chair at University of Dhaka presented an improvised drama script in the style ancient Gaur.
Former vice chancellor of University of Dhaka, former and present director of Nazrul Institute, general secretary of Rabindra Academy, poets from the 80's and 90's were also present at the programme.
