Commemorative book on Subhash Dutta, Sutorang unveiled

A commemorative book titled 'Subhash Dutta and Sutorang' on legendary filmmaker Subhash Dutta and his famous Bengali movie Sutorang was unveiled on Tuesday.
Prior to the screening of the movie 'Sutorang' speakers praised Dutta's contribution to the movie industry.
Movie screening and book unveiling function was held at Zahir Raihan VIP Projection Hall at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC). Subhash Dutta Smriti Parishad and Bangladesh Film Archive jointly organised the function.
Dutta was born on this day in 1930 in Dinajpur and breathed his last in 2012. He directed a number of popular films like 'Palabadal,' 'Kagojer Nouka' and acted in 'Rajdhanir Bukey,' 'Harano Din,' 'Talash' and some others as well. Apart from Ekushey Padak, Dutta also bagged a number of awards including the National Film Award during his lifetime.
His sister Jharna Dutta, film actress Kabori, Mana-ging Director of BFDC Tapan Kumar Ghosh, among others, spoke on the occasion.
