The body of another fisherman was found washed ashore on Cox's Bazar beach early Sunday morning, raising the death toll to six in the last three days, after eight trawlers capsized in the Bay due to the inclement weather.
However, the identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Masudur Rahman, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station, the body was found around 6AM at the West Kutubdia Para point of the beach. Later, the body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Earlier, on Saturday, two bodies were found from Inani Beach in Ukhiya and one from Samitypara Beach in Sadar upazila and on Friday, two bodies were found at Kolatoli and Pachar Dwip.
Delwar Hossain, secretary of the Cox's Bazar Fishing Trawlers Owner Association, said that a number of fishermen still missing after eight fishing trawlers from outside Cox's Bazar capsized due to the adverse weather.
