BKSP has secured three bronze medals, becoming the second runner-up at the 4th South Asian Junior Athletics Championship-2024, held in Chennai, India.
The competition, held from September 10-13, saw BKSP athlete Md. Tamim Hossain claim a bronze medal in the triple jump event, with a leap of 14.75 meters.
Additionally, BKSP men's team--Aslam Shikder, Borhan Sheikh, Hafizur Rahman, and Abdullah Al Sabur-- and the women's team--Sumaiya Akter, Azmi Khatun, Mim Akter, and Runa Akter-- earned two more bronze medals in 4×400 meter relay races.
Athletes from seven SAARC countries participated in the championship, with BKSP's 15-member team representing Bangladesh.
Team manager Fouzia Huda Jui and coaches Md. Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan and Md. Mobarak Hossain Tipu led the delegation.
BKSP Director rigadier General Md. Munirul Islam congratulated the team on Sunday morning for their outstanding performance.
