One killed in Noakhali road accident

A youth was killed after a CNG -run autorickshaw hit a road side tree at Hatia upazila in Noakhali district on Saturday night. 

The accident took place around 8:00 PM the West side road of Sagoria Bazar in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Khairul Mostofa, 27, son of late Omar Faruque, a resident of Ward No.1 under Jahajmara union in the upazila. 

Locals said that the CNG hit a road side tree, leaving CNG passenger Khairul critically injured. 

Later, he was rescued by the locals and taken to Hatia Upazila Health Complex, later he was transferred to Noakhali Fan Care Hospital for better treatment. He succumbed to his injuries in the hospital about 2:45 AM. 

Md Moniruzzaman, inspector of Hatia Police Station, confirmed the matter.
