Shikha new BB spokesperson

Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Husne Ara Shikha has been appointed as the central bank's spokesperson.

The central bank announced the decision on Thursday.

She succeeds Mezbaul Haque.

Shikha completed her Master's in Economics from the International University of Japan.

She joined Bangladesh Bank as assistant director in 1996. She started work in the Banking Regulations and Policy Department and has since held several important posts in the central bank, including in the Foreign Exchange Policy Department. —bdnews24.com
