Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested two youths along with 1.377 kilograms of gold from Kushtia's Daulatpur upazila on Thursday.
The arrested are Nazrul Islam, 20, from Insafnagar Morar Char village under Kurigram's Chilmari upazila, and Md Selim Reja, from the same area.
According to BGB-47, acting on a tip-off, a team of the force, led by Lt Col Md Mahbub Morshed Rahman, conducted a raid in Sarkar Ghat area under Chilmari BOP and arrested the duo red-handed along with the gold.
The estimated market value of the seized the gold is Tk 1,42, 19,500. During the drive they have also seized two motorcycles, two mobile phone sets and some cash.
The arrested two were handed over to Daulatpur Police Station after filling a case against them, said the police station's officer-in-charge Mahbubur Rahman.
