Police arrested three alleged robbers while they were taking preparation for robbery in Jungal Padua area under Lohagara Police Station in Chittagong district on Thursday night.
At that time, police recovered an air gun, two sharp knives from their possessions.
The arrested people are Mahamudul Karim, 20, hailed from Cox's Bazar district, Yasin Arafat, 20, hailed from Sandwip upazila and Khairul Islam, 22, hailed from Patiya upazila of the district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Lohagara police detained them from Jungle Padua area while they were taking preparation for robbery, said Arifur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Lohagara thana.
A case was filed with the police station in this connection.
