The academic activities at Dhaka University (DU) will resume on September 22, after a closure of more than two and a half months.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the university Syndicate on Thursday evening, with Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan in the chair.
Besides, first-year classes for the 2023-24 academic year will begin on September 30.
Sources said that based on recommendations from the Deans' Committee, the decision on resuming academic activities has been taken.
The meeting also discussed ongoing proposals for improving interpersonal relationships and resolving conflicts among faculty and students at the departmental, institute, faculty, and central levels.
Later, the syndicate members approved all the decisions and proposals, added the release.
